To anyone enjoying trout and salmon fishing, Connemara is an angler's paradise and offers any amount of prime angling waters all around the area.
Whether you cast from the bank, or decide to hire a boat and gillie,  from the local streams to vast Lake Corrib, and from  Screeb House to Ballynahinch Castle, you can choose between a great number of lakes and fisheries.
For visitors staying over a few days, angling brochures are available and we can organize outings for you at one of the places mentioned above.
The local lakes offer brown trout and can be fished freely or for a small fee. For larger catches, the Corrib can be fished from a boat (45€ to hire, 100€ if you add a gillie). Lake Mask is good for coarse fish. Boats and gillies are also available.
Each of the private estates like Screebe, Ballynahinch or Delphi offer salmon fishing and have to be booked.
Sea angling from a boat can also be organised, please contact us.
