The
B &
B (pink
dot on the lower map) is located in Derryrush (pointed out in yellow),
on the shores of Kilkieran bay, between the villages of Rosmuc and
Kilkieran (Cill Ciaran) on the road R 340. Coming from Galway, the
coastal road through Spiddal and Costelloe (Casla), and the inland road
through Oughterard and Maam Cross join at Screeb (Scriobh). The two roads
are roughly the same distance, 60 Kms (40 miles) from Galway.
From that crossroad, it is just over 8 Kms (5 miles),
direction Carna, to us. Roughly half-way you will pass a signpost to
Pearse's Cottage, then another 4 Kms (2.5 miles) further cross the Invermore
stream on a newly rebuilt bridge.
Four hundred ms (yards) further, a signpost reading: "Bun Invhir
B &
B" on the left hand side of
the road, points to the house hiding among the trees down by the sea.
